Uber, Nvidia, Stellantis, and Foxconn Form Alliance for Robotaxis Deployment
Uber has joined forces with Nvidia, Stellantis, and Foxconn to develop and deploy autonomous vehicles globally. The partnership will see Stellantis manufacturing the vehicles, while Foxconn and Nvidia provide self-driving technology and systems integration. Uber plans to roll out the robotaxis on its ride-hailing platform, starting with 5,000 vehicles in the U.S. by 2028.
The initiative underscores Uber's commitment to leveraging AI for growth in transportation tech. Earlier this year, the company partnered with UK-based Wayve to test fully autonomous rides in London by 2026. Stellantis' 'AV-Ready' platforms, designed for flexibility, will support multiple passenger configurations, while Nvidia's Drive AGX Hyperion 10 will power the vehicles' autonomous systems.
